Save view object view_save |
This object defines the visualization in a viewport, e.g. which object types of which model in which view will be displayed. Exactly one view object is assigned to each viewport. The settings of a view object can be used for several viewports.
In the view object the following settings are saved:
-
Viewing positions: The positions of the displayed region are saved with the view object within the model. If you load a model you will get the same section that you defined before the saving.
-
Model and layer structure: You define which model is displayed in a viewport.
Here you can also change the layer status of a model: please click on the button S (selectable) or V (visible).
An "X" in the column L (locked) beside the layer list indicates that the layer is locked.
If you activate the button Sublayer the layer changes will have effect also on layers which are hierarchical below the selected layer.
-
Hold: If this option is active the content of the viewport will only be updated when you close the dialog box via OK or Cancel. Otherwise the viewport will be updated after each modification of visibility of layers (upper part of menu).
-
Viewport type: 2D-, 3D- or (3D-)structure viewport.
-
Options: You can activate the Z sorting (priority of viewing) of the hidden line technique and the real screen display of line thickness.
Please note that the hiding properties of planes
and texts
have to be activated in order to hide objects.
-
Visualization methods: For each object type you can select a visualization method (please click on the requested method of the list) or switch off the visualization (please click on the icon of the requested object type in the left column or choose the option hide object in the popup menu of the right mouse button on the object type icon).
You may add UDOs to the list of object types. Please select the option insert objects in the popup menu of the right mouse button on the left column.
Notes:
-
View objects are saved within the model.
-
You may define any number of view objects.
-
If you assigne a name to a view object the name will be displayed at the bottom of the viewport.
-
If you create a new model a new viewport will be opened and a new view object with standard settings will be attached to it.
